Bear with new toys!!

Hehehe I know what you are thinking (This guy gets excited for everything) and is kind of true. But I mean who doesn’t get excited when one gets new and cool gadgets. At my job, we got approved for a technology grant. Thanks to that I get to keep a TOSHIBA Laptop and a SONY digital camera, it doesn’t get any better! (Well maybe it does!! hehehe) we are installing a new projector in the computer lab I am in charge of, for conferences and for presentations we need to do, or simply for my class. I really get happy when I get to play with new toys ;-)

Here is a thought!

Just why do we lie? I don’t know the answer to that, and sometimes I ask myself that question, it is in our nature I guess… But, something ALL of you need to put in practice when you think you are going to lie is Stop, Think, and then Act…

NOT GOOD!

Yesterday I was very happy because I got an ORIGINAL copy of Windows XP Professional for my computer, because the one I had before wasn’t original… Well because I wanted to take advantage of all the new gadgets that are coming out for all of the original operating systems I got myself that software. So I got home, ate, when pipi to the bathroom, and then all happy went upstairs to my computer room happy that I was going to work all afternoon in my most precious computer. Over the years I have built myself a really nice, fast, and super reliable computer with two hard drives. One hard drive is for storage (music, videos, pictures, important documents, and an original copy of software I didn’t want to loose) anyway, the other hard drive is for system files. Over all these years I saved an average of 4000 songs, and 1000 pictures from my vacation trips, birthdays, and just parties I attended. Of course including the ones I have in my BLOG and guess what? GUESS WHAT!!???

Thinking that I was formatting the system disk as I was supposed to, I erased THE ENTIRE STORAGE DISK!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!! My 4000 songs, my 1000 pictures, my movies and all important documents ARE GONE!!!!!!!!!!!! This is fucking unbelievable!! I almost fainted when I realized what I have done… (Sigh) even the most experience commits the most atrocious acts of stupidity (I mean me {moan}) I hope this gives me a lesson and the next time I’ll have an extra back up just in case that I decide to do something like this… The moral of this posting is “Check TWICE what you’re doing wey!” Peace!

(Sigh) What can I say, I am here again… after a long time of not writing anything I think is time to do it again… after all it is helpful for me to do it.
Wondering what have I been doing in all this time? Well lots of things… many many things hehehe (I know right? What things I’m talking about?) I can’t be specific but it all involves looking for a job (still) but this time is for real I was kind of just having a big break not working trying to relax a bit, but now I think that break is more than enough…
Couple of new events in my life… My cousin (remember my cousin? Look for the “You? Fat? Diet?” entry on september 2005 and the "2 hours DRIVING” entry same month and finally the “Family after all...” entry of the same month) You will remember my cousin after reading that, well, back to the point, he came back from Mexico and this time he brought with him his fiancé, believe it or not this time I am enjoying him staying at my house, he is really cool and not to mention his fiancé, she is the sweetest girl I ever met (besides “La Chacha” LOL just kidding) seriously though she cares a lot about my cousin and she is really…mmm…. How can I put this? really gracious.
I took a week off from work to have some time to spend with them both, and something really cool is that Victor (you all know Victor) did it too. We have gone to the lake, Millennium Park, walks around town, and of course they wanted to go to malls (which I hate) but I had to take them anyway.
We have been having a good time, talking about our memories when we were kids, about family and just re-discovering our bonds as family…
Something else that has happened is the regular get together with friends; we went to Cesar’s (again!) to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with our friend Daniel, (Look for the pictures below) and we had a sleep over at Willie’s house we talk, had fun, and saw some movies (to bad I got sick and couldn’t enjoy it as much) (I think it was Willie’s Pulgas… mmmm… LOL) I got to see my friend Erik (Alias super girl) we drank some of Willie’s inventions and had a good time.

Man it feels good to write again, ok so look for the pictures of all the action in my life and I will be posting something soon… take care y’all!
