I am very happy. I have been doing a lot of new projects at work and as result of that I got a really good evaluation. First I was literally in charge of organizing my work’s annual health fair and let me tell you that it was really stressful to be calling people, presenters, doing publicity, sending PSA’s (public service announcements) and just making sure that everything was going to be ok with the health fair. Now you might think that I’m just exaggerating by saying that I was the solely organizer of such an important event but I actually was mainly because a coworker and organizer of the same event decided to take one week off the two weeks before the event. Anyway I was very satisfied with all of the positive comments and remarks that participants as well as presenters had over me.
Another project I had to do is make the computer lab I’m running much better. I had to install a network version of some pretty nice ESL (English as second language) software and because I don’t have experience with network administration I though it would be a good idea to hired a “professional” and so I did, but the problem was that I hired a guy that spoke only Spanish and even though I speak Spanish fluently all of the knowledge I have in computers is (really) in English so when I was explaining things to him I knew only computer terms in English so it was kind of complicated but not only that, at the end IT WAS ME WHO PUT THE NETWORK UP AND RUNNING! Can you believe it?
Anyway my supervisor was happy with the results…
Ok and the last project I am working is I AM MAKING A MOVIE!!!!!!! I am so freaking excited!!! I made a preview of how the movie was going to look like and presented to some coordinators and my supervisor the “Associate Director” of the organization I work for and he was thrilled for the job I was doing. I mean I don’t have experience in a lot of stuff but when I put my heart to it and it just comes natural to do it and working with some new and amazing software I mean IT’S THE BOMB!!! Hehehe (sigh) so now with the program I’m running I get to play with some insane new gadgets I mean what else can you ask for, first there was the digital camera, then a digital video camera, then super new cool software! There is a video editing software that costs $2,200 and we got it for only $160 DOLLARS!!!!!!!!! It is AMAZING!!!!!! Hehehe and I get to play with it oh and if that wasn’t enough there is more coming! (In case you were wondering we got that software that cheap because we are members of a donation program) oh man I am very happy right now! You will be seeing my movies uploaded in here later… so peace people!
